Ten Reasons to Visit Maui,Hawaii!

Aloha!

Maui is of course a place where one really doesn't need a reason to visit but here are ten that might help you convince a boss, spouse or parent to make the trip!

  1. "The Surf" whether you are in it, on it or merely viewing it, the majestic movement of water is definately a huge reason to visit to Maui! (photo courtesy of QuinceyDein.com).
  2. "The Wind" All summer long windsurfers recognize Maui as the Windsurf Mecca of the world.
  3. Drive to the top of the Worlds Largest Dormant Volcano - Haleakela located above one third of the atmosphere. read more...
  4. Discover sea turtles for yourself! Take a snorkel, mask and flippers and take a marine adventure of your own from any west or south shore beach - making sure snorkeling conditions are favorable of course.
  5. The chance to attend a Hawaiian Luau and experience dances of Polynesia and foods of the Islands such as poi and sweet potato bread!
  6. Visit the winter home of the Humpback Whales while they are birthing their young.
  7. Experience adventurous Rain Forest Hikes on the Hana coast line! The road may be a little (well alot) windy but the magic you will experience in the wilderness will more than make up for it!
  8. To get away from the humdrum of everyday life in your home town and experience the true feeling of living "Aloha".
  9. Work on your golf game in some of the most favored courses in the world!
  10. "Maui No Ka Oi" - Maui is the best!
Please add your own reasons in the comments box below! We would love to hear from you!

Maui Sights - Iao Valley

Aloha!

Well I always think of the Iao Valley as the "hike" when you really don't want to fully "hike". The beauty and serenity of the surroundings takes you to another world. With the ability to drive almost directly into the valley you enter directly into what otherwise would take you many hours of days of hiking!

Be ready to relax and be inspired by color and the sounds of the running Iao Stream. Most weekends you will see families and friends swimming and diving off the large rock at the side of the bridge.

There is a lot of history attached to the Iao Valley and was the center of one of the most famous battles between King Kamehameha and Kalanikupule read more.......

As always when you are leaving your accomodations please take sunscreen, a hat and of course plenty of water. A hydrated person is a happy person!

Have a great day.
